This is for those who own these tires. I just got 2 of them, and I could not find an arrow on the tires for tire direction.

Is there a "side" this tire goes on?

I have the snow stud, and the direction is clearly marked - I can't help you with your problem, but I would appreciate a review after you've ridden them for a while (though you might not have much ice left in the season to really test it out, unless you're heading into the Laurentians)

I just looked at a photo of these tires and to me it appears that they have a alternating tread pattern that will be exactly the same either way you run it.

Rajman: I'll let you know next winter! :) I bought those tires because my innovas failed me on pretty much the last ice day of the winter, and I got a nasty cut on the chin thanks to them (as well as a chipped tooth). Now I'm just hopping to "set" the studs in before while there's still *some* ice around, but mostly pavement. Just so I don't have to do that next winter.

Oneredstar: That was what I was guessing as well. Thanks for your input.

Yeah, my experience with the innovas is that the studs wear out really fast - I am running a snow stud in the rear (about 800 km so far, and the studs show limited wear), my front (a nokian 120) is showing very little wear (though one stud fell apart) after about 1200 km of riding - but then again the front experiences a lot less weight, so it's not really a fair comparison.
