"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - There's a Weird Subculture for Everything

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There always has been of course, but the internet adds unparalleled -- what we say in the financial services business -- "liquidity and transparency."

Meaning that -- for better or worse-- the internet makes it easy to find lots of people who are obsessed with the same weird shi*t you are and to share information with them.

In the case of bike racing, this is relatively benevolent, luckily (compared with, say, pedophilia).

But it is amazing to be able to get online and see five different people's descrption of a race that you did today and see their exact power files and hear what they learned and then get opinions and jokes and commentary from people literally around the world.

I know it is obvious to say but what an amazing thing....
