I am here! The weekend is upon me, so who knows what adventures are in store!

I had a terrific week! I rode every day this week, and have logged 208 miles on my week-old Paramount! Tonight, after work, I rode 17 miles to meet my wife so we could eat out! And, as an added bonus, I had a tailwind all the way! Kept a speed of about 20 mph all the way! Made such good time that I stopped at a local tavern for a "sports drink!" What a way to end the work week!

Stay tuned for my continued saga!

(And, thank for asking!!)

Well, I got in a ride....but nothing happened! I just rode!

I have read here that "headwinds and hills build character" and folks, I sit here before you tonight a bigger character than I was just a few hours ago!

I had to spend yesterday taking care of family and household chores, so no riding then. I got up this morning with a wonderful ride in mind! One that would surely yield all kinds of adventuresome fodder for me to terrify and amaze my friends with! Unfortunately, my wife got up with golf on her mind! So, 18 holes and a nice lunch out later, the wind was blowing 20 miles per hour directly out of the east. There seemed only one logical thing to do, take off into the wind and see how far I could go! At first when I took off, the old thighs were complaining a little at the instant load that was put upon them, but I didn't go very far and they were pumping away without any further problems. After 7 miles, I started working some hills, and boy, did I get a workout! I actually topped one of the hills at a blazing 7 miles per hour! That is the slowest speed I have ever maintained on the Paramount, and considering that the only alternative was walking, I was glad to have it! After 4 miles of hills, I decided that it was time to turn around and start enjoying the wind! And enjoy it I did! I had to get to 23 mph so I could get a cooling breeze going, and I pretty well held that speed all the way home! Now, that was fun! This is what the "A" riders do all the time! Boy, what a blast!

So, now I am home, the Paramount is parked in it's place of honor in the living room, and I am writing this. No excitement, but all in all, a really nice day!
