Thought it was about time I did the introduction thing as I have been randomly perusing the various topics on this site for a number of months now.
I live in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and have been a regular commuter for about two and a half years now.
I am very fortunate to be able to ride to work along a beautiful piece of road (old channel highway) that overlooks our local river (the Derwent) for much of the way.
The commute is about 18 kms one way takes about 50 minutes and includes one big hill. From the top of this hill you can see the end of Tassie!!
So any questions anyone would like answered about Australia's only island state please feel free to ask.

It was a very foolish thing to brag about your commute. Now we want pictures.:)

Sounds lovely.

This is the Tassie component of my big ride later this year.

Sunday 5th October Riverbend to Burnie 100 km
Monday 6th October Burnie to Launceston 150 km
Tuesday 7th October Launceston to St Helens 165 km
Wednesday 8th October St Helens to Swansea 120 km
Thursday 9th October Swansea to Hobart 153 km

Maybe you can drop by and say hello as we pass your way.

Welcome to BikeForums.

Thanks for the welcome.
The intention is to do the photo thing of the commute soon.
How many of you are doing the trek across Oz?
