Wasn’t sure if I should post in Mt Bikes or here……………but here goes

You guys know anything about Paramount mt bikes. It’s a nice quality bike, all the cables are routed on the top tube which I like. Butted Tange frame and matching butted Tange fork. Suntour XC comp/expert group which is a + to me as I love oldschool Suntour. Its in good shape overall. I’m guessing 92ish. I’m just looking for some history on the brand here, or who manufactured the bike. This is the first time I have ever seen a bike of this brand.

Cool. You got one of the lugged frames. I have a ca 1993 PDG series 40. It is a Schwinn.

I knew Schwinn used the paramount name, but I had no idea they had a paramount mt bike. Seems odd it doesnt say Schwinn anywhere. Maybe that was the intent.

Nice Bike! But one question...is the left rear chainstay bent down? or is that just the camera angle? And if is bent can it be repaired?

The chainstay was made that way. I remember a few bikes in the early 90's with similar chain stays. Other than reducing chain slap, I dont know of any other reason. I found a pic of a similar bike.............
