Congratulations to Ceiliazul, Spire and all other BFers graduating this year! Best of luck in your careers.

Ceileazul, I hope you selected your employment after carefully checking out the commuting route.

All this talk about graduation makes me long for my college days. Hell, I would even go back to my grad school days.

Good show, all! Best of luck.

Congratulations to you and enjoy your bike! You earned it. I can think of several with whom I attended college that never completed their degree. What are you going to do for a living? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now that's smart. Your education is already paying off.
Congratulations on finishing your education, getting a job, and most of all purchasing a bike.

I will be working at a pharmacy chain (think Walgreen's) called Hi-School Pharmacy. Forty stores in the Portland, OR area, and I'll be programming the computers. I did an internship there and everyone loved me so much they asked me to come back.

The commuting routes are laid out, I even have a backup. I'm looking forward to it.

Following some advice, I'll be sprucing up my mountain bike with new wheels and brakes, but the new bike will likely be a road bike. I may be touring a bit this summer, so I'm keeping that in mind.

Thanks for your wishes!
The sky is the limit!
And I'll tell you a secret: I'm never gonna get old!

Congrats! This reminds me that I too graduated on May 22. Not this May 22, though. :)

Welcome to my world. . . mwa-ha-ha-ha-hah!

Actually, congratulations. That's a huge milestone in one's life and you have every right to be proud of the accomplishment.

One more class, and I finish up my CGA designation (7 years after I started).

Congrats... it's a big life accomplishment and will be a huge life change!

i finished my undergrad in August 1994...

the first few years out i learned a lot about life and such --- how most people live really boring lives and i didn't/don't want to... (sounds synical but it's true!)

don't join the materialism race and waste your life trying to "beat the Jones" --- e.g. what not to do: i bought all the things i had wanted for so long as a poor student (new car, nice stereo, fancy apartment, computer, etc.) and was then in debt! (i fixed that in 1996 and paid off everything including student loans by beginning of 1998!)

take some chances, travel, try lots of things... have fun!

working life can be OK too, but nothing well ever be quite like the College Years... (even as a grad student it was different as you're older)

Congratulations.

By the sounds of that last paragraph, I assume you have been up all night studying for that final. I suggest getting some sleep. zzzzzzz......

Wise advice. I learned that lesson a few years after I graduated. Don't get me wrong, I still like nice things. I've just learned to appreciate what I have...especially loved ones. Keeping up with the Jones is often hard to avoid, especially in the bike world!!

Congrats on the degree! I've just finished my Master's, but it's not quite the same level of satisfaction as my undergraduate degree. (Only because I've been working for some time now.) Have fun in the real world!! :p
