Along with Bikeforums, I also frequent a few automotive forums. One thing that they all seem to have in common is rather extensive Tech Sections with picture packed repair and install write-ups. So I got thinking, why not on Bikeforums? Is it possible that we can get something like this going? I was thinking a tech forum… maybe a sub forum of the Bike Mechanics.
It could be broken down into universal repairs and installs, and then more specific items, such as fixed gear issues, brake adjustments for side pull, center pull, disc, canti, Vee and so on. I guess you get the idea. I figure with all the knowledge on these forums, it would be great to make the mother of all how to work on your bike thread. There could be a few issues with this from an organizing standpoint, so maybe only Mods can START threads? I know [165] has done a few good ones that we could use as examples. (Headsets (http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=208119) and Bottom Brackets (http://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=208402))
