i'm trying to repack these pedals, but how do i take them apart? the dustcap is wierd, it does not unscrew like a conventional pedal. it looks like it is connected to a piece on the inner part of the pedal.

the pedal in question looks like 36 F, but the dust cap assembly looks different. any help or suggestions would be great.

i will be checking every 23 seconds for replies, thanks. :D

all the models in the picture have a dustcap that does unscrew conventionally...
try posting a picture of your actual pedal
perhaps yours is a later (cheaper) non rebuildable kind ?
does it have built in reflectors ? usually a bad sign

I repacked the Lyotard pedals on my Gitane, and they were just like any other standard pedal.

The cap looks like a press fit to me. I would try gently prying on it, or wrap it with something to protect it then grab it with a channel lock pliers and rock it back and forth to see if it will work loose. I have some newer Lyotard 460d pedals that have press fit caps on them.
