I'm all for the adventure and and thrill of attempting the summit, but didn't someone at OLN realize that there would be a conflict with the Giro...?? The 'Global Extremes' adventure ran for at least four months; couldn't it have been done a couple weeks earlier? I guess there must be a 'season' in which the climb can be attempted, but I want my Stage 13!!

Oh well...

(The top of Everest...? Oh man. What a decent THAT would be...)

I guess the problem here is that unlike Europe, we only have one channel dedicated to the outdoor-sy stuff. So it has to be a choice of one or the other.

Isn't that sad? :(
