Today is the first day of Spring (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equinox). Is this your favorite season? Is your favorite season (overall) and favorite season for bicycling the same? Or are they different?

Autumn. Even though I know that dark, dreary, depressing winter is just around the corner, there's something nice about the vibrant colors of the leaves and the angle of the sun, such that everything about 4pm is bathed in a rich, golden glow. The sound of leaves clattering in a slight nippy breeze that carries the delicious aroma of a wood fire, and the sound of kids in sweatshirts tossin' a football...ahhhhh...autumn! :)

Winter. I have Summer all year round here in Miami, so the 2 days of Winter we get is my favorite.

Summer in Jersey. Tshirts, shorts, bbq's, surfing and women in skirts!

Fall, winter and spring are just things you have to endure 'til summer gets here again.

Football!!!!

Why no option for porcupines or pie on your poll? Their abscence leaves me very suspicious of answering.

Spring. Even though I suffer big time from hayfever, I love spring.
The world starts coming back to beautiful color and all the animals are out and moving about. Its like the entire planet is coming back from some long, dreary, black & white dream. Suddenly there's flowers blooming and birds chirping.
So definitely, spring is my favorite.

I like the Autumn. It is still warm but not so much so and it is not yet cold. The leaves are changing colors and all the neat holidays are coming up. Yes, I'd have to say Autumn!

Spring-Fall - May-September (What Maelstrom said - except for the bong part)

Best times for riding in these parts.

Winter for me. Though maybe I don't count so much since I'm talking about Florida winter, where we have a few months when the temperature finally drops from 'hot as balls' to 'bearable.'

I love the summer. In Chicago one can do so much during the summer. Any day there would be some sort of festival somewhere in Chicago, the lake is beautiful, the miles of beach, and I could ride whenever I want.

QFT!!

Chicago is the greatest summer town in America.

Cool temps by the lake. Two baseball games in a day by just jumping on the Red Line. Free music at the major music festivals in Grant Park (BluesFest, JazzFest, Taste of Chicago weeks, etc). Everybody out enjoying the weather.

Don't be fooled by imitations.

Now I want to completely skip Spring and go straight to Summer.

Summer, because I get to bike a lot. But winter is in a close second now that I've fallen in love with snowboarding.

Summer is my favorite season. I like it warm outside. Moreover, summer has lots of daylight for riding.

It doesn't get much better than cruising across the countryside on a long summer evening.

On the down side, summer is the worst season for me as a sports fan. Baseball, golf, and 'Neck car are all boring to watch. Only Wimbledon is somewhat interesting, and that only lasts a couple weeks. Good thing there is plenty to do outside.

Here in Texas, we don't have spring, summer, fall, and winter. We have:

Early summer
Mid summer
Late summer
Next summer

Summer! Long day hours, nice texas sunsets, just a great time to be outside, growing season, nice scenery (especially by lakes), riding time, sleeping in, it's the best.

I'm not a fan of high summer, July and August. I don't like temps over 85 degrees and when it gets there I either go to the river where the water is in the 40s or up to 5-6000 ft till it cools off.
