I am planning to go around Lake Ontario this summer and would appreciate any advice or ideas about the New York state part of the tour. In particular I am looking for a good route through or around Rochester NY. I haven't decided if I am going to hug the shore or use the Erie Canal trail west of Rochester. Has anyone had any experiences with either of these routes. From Rochester to the east I am planing on hugging the shoreline and cross over to Ontario at Wolfe Island. Also any info on the Queenston Lewiston bridge would be a great help.
