Got a tip today from a good customer today. A bottle of Crown Royal. That is great but I sold it to the salesman at work for $10. I know it is good stuff but I don't drink booze. Do not need it around the house. I looked at websites, the stuff is for sale anywhere from $29 to $79! Who to believe?

Depends on size of bottle, age and premium vs standard.

for the "standard" CR its just standard price.. maybe a few dollars above most standard whisky.... about 15-20 bucks for 750mL bottle

Don't worry, you didn't get the $79 bottle.
Costco has some amazing prices on booze. You also don't need a membership card for that section.

Crown Royal is not cheap stuff. Depends on the size of the bottle. Was it a 750ml? I see those out here for $30-45 depending where you look.
Any decent liquor is going to be at least $20. $30 for most non-bourbon whiskeys (Bourbon tends to have really good stuff for little...like Maker's Mark ($20)).

Crown Royal is good stuff. I used to work in the town that Seagram's bottling plant was located in. I could always count on a few bottles of CR from parents at Christmas time. I guess employees at the plant got a bottle or two for free every month. The plant used to have a huge theft problem until they started giving the hooch away to employees. Man, I miss those gifts.
