Hi all

I would like to ask you what fork i should get.....naaaah just joking.
Ok for the serious part. Are hourglass shaped headtubes better that plain ones? Also if bottom and top tube are joined together into a monocoque-like shape together with the headtube is a good sign for strength and durability on the frame? The weld on my frame is 4cm long (the one that joins top and bottom tube.)

That style of butting produces more strenght and stiffness for the headtube. I assume the hourglass you are refering to is the the bulge and the bottom and top of the headtube. The is where the headset slides into.

yep thats the stuff i am talking about. I presume that my hardtail is far from the typical racing xc frame then!!!!!!

Frames can still be light with large gussets or butting like that, dont think your bike is a big downhill bike or anything.:D

of course it isnt. i dont expect it to be a SCV10 but at least i can go downhill and have my fun without having to worry about a lightweight xc race frame.
