So I'm no longer officially a clydesdale being that I know weigh in at 183 which is down from late last years 210 lbs. Earlier in the same year I was 230. The year before I was 265! =/
I've been training hard the last several months with the cheapo treadmill and the bowflex. And when the cheapo treadmill died I switched over to an indoor blackburn trainer which I hooked the bike up to.
Since then I've been going through spinerval dvds which have been hammering at my leg muscles for several weeks now.
However, these past 4 weeks or so there has been almost no training.
I just got tired.
I've lost a little bit of the steam and motivation I had over the winter and I need some encouragement to continue training for the upcoming summer.
I might have lost weight but what I desperately need to do right now is to focus on training the core muscles which are badly undeveloped. The abs and the back muscles I mean.
Just came back from paragon sports in manhattan and bought myself some running equipment since I really desire to start running. Did a test run the other day and found out that I really am still out of shape. But I find it a personal triumph that at least I am able to do some consistent (albeit slow) jogging at a decent pace for extended periods of time.
In any case its all cross training for when I finally am able to fly up those hills in prospect park on my roubaix and stay with the pace line. :)
So......any tips for the poser? :D
p.s. What do you guys think of amino fuel or that bio builde stuff? I'm putting myself on a 6 week program to finish out march, all of april, and the first week in may. This will consist of bowflex work, running, cycle training with spinerval dvds and/or actual outdoor riding. Then in the middle of may I will see where I am and how my summer will shape up performancewise.
Thanks for the feedback. :D
