How does one check if the duraace crank is the original and not a fake( if theres any)? my duraace logos on the cranks are fading off .. is that normal?

yes it is normal that your logos fade.. you can check the part nos. and refer to shimanos website.

And you can easily detect its a durace from the quality alone..

If it fits the splined spindle it is real.

I have never heard of any company faking Shimano goods. So I am sure you have real cranks.

Besides the logos always fade or rub off.

I have seen fake shimanos...
But only the low-end stuff (aceraX, exage7sis, altus). I have never seen fake road components though.. I think road components are a bit hard to manufacture/fake because of the materials used and quality(roadies are very picky).

I had a road guy, and to fit him to his bike I flipped the stem. No logos on it or anything, so you could not tell from looking at it,but, it drove him crazy, we had to order him another stem that was not "upside down"
