Introductions - Hey all

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm a newbie myself - been here a month or so. I've learned a ton and try to visit at least once a day.
East Hill - small world, I live in Auburn up Lea Hill. Do you buy chance shop at Mountain Bike Outfitters on Central?

Weird... I spent HS up in Anacortes... Spent some time riding out in the San Juan's.. Lopez Island mostly. Beautifull country. I'm a flat lander now out in Chicago.... YEAH!!! NO MTN's!!!!

Smurf hunter--oddly enough, that's one of the few places I haven't visited. I know, I live just up the hill...:o . It's not quite on my rounds when cycling, but when I do go by (like this morning on the way home!), they aren't open.
I promise to do better in the future.
devildogmech--eventually you'll miss those hill! Trust us on this one...You got to go to HS in a pretty scenic area, and you got to bike the San Juans. Pretty nice...so where do you go mountain biking in Chicago then?

I live in on Lea Hill by Green River Comm. College. Needless to say, hill climbing is part of daily life for me.

East Hill,
Trust me... NO! I'll never mis those hill's.. Mt. Constitution once was enough! And I got awfully sick and tired of hills doing Boot Camp at San Diego Ca. Doing field work at Camp Pendleton... Mt. MF'er, The Reaper.... The horror.. The flashbacks!
I'll take the little hills around here anyday... I'm not trying to "go mtn biking" just trying to not have to buy so much gasoline @ $3/gal... I'm going to commute to school this summer... Lots'a Fun!

Oh, I can see your point about the hills.
All right, let me rephrase that. Eventually, if you gain a few extra pounds, you will go out looking for those hills :) . You may not enjoy them, but they are a way of using a few more calories :D .
Saving money by not putting it into the fuel tank of a vehicle is a good way to go!

Well, here's to a quick recovery, and don't hurt yourself more by being too anxious to get out and ride :) .
