Was updating my ride journal and it's sitting at 694 miles for the month of March... with a Century ride scheduled Sunday, and 125 miles of commuting during the week, I'll easily be within reach of my first ever 1,000 mile month.
So... who's up for a ride next Saturday? (The 31st) :)
I'm considering riding with RMCC .... They'll be meeting at Rooney Rd (Morrison PnR) at 10:45 for a 52 mile loop including Mt Vernon Canyon, Paradise Hills, Bergen Pk, Upper Bear Creek, Evergreen and Red Rocks.
If I add in my ride from my house to the meet point and back, I'll have my miles!
So... anyone else interested in joining me?

You just blew my mind. I would have thought you would already have had a 1000+ mile month. I had a few of those last summer. 250 commuting miles + 50-80 weekend miles. Congratulations!
Still... I have yet to ride a century.
Sorry to divert your thread. You just perplexed me. :p
I would be surprised if I can make it but you never know. My wrist is still healing but my new brace is helping. Plus, I think my allergies will peak sometime in the next week. There is nothing quite like a DJ with glowing red eyes, runny nose, no voice, and on so much meds he can't think. :p

bmclaughlin807, I am envious, all I got time for as of late is work, and more work, I am lucky if I can get time to ride 1000 in a season.
I like my boss, and he keeps doing nice things, but this overtime is killing me.
Now I go in for a shoulder surgery and I will be banned from the bike for at least a month.
IF I get a vacation this year, I fear I will die trying to ride all I want.
Don't forget your oil change every 3000, have fun.

Last year (The first year I ever actually tracked my mileage) I averaged 850 miles or so a month. I probably did 1000 miles in one month a few times when I was still in high school, but I wasn't tracking it. This will be my first 'official' 1,000 mile month. Just like Sunday will be my first 'official' century. The closest I've come since I got a bike computer was last year when we rode together... I hit 96 miles that day, but just couldn't quite finish the century.
I plan on hitting a lot of firsts over this year and next. :) Maybe I'll find a couple people to drag along.

Count me in when I am not falling apart. My wife is now working on the weekend and this means extra $$ for child care on the weekends so I can ride. Yay!
Can't join you all next weekend. Going to be spending next weekend in Leadville :)
Great job BM. Its definitely an accomplishment!!! :)
