Just saw a ladies " English type " 3 speed, made by Iverson. NOT an Iverson " Sting-Ray " type bike. Never have seen one before & wondered if anyone knew anything about them. It is pretty nice but the shift cable is broken at the rear. $10 !!

Sounds like a deal to me...got pictures:p if it is a Sturmey Archer rear hub, cables are readily available for $10-15.

If it's what I remember Iversons to be, that bike is $9.98 overpriced. Back in the 70's an Iverson was the absolute WORST bicycle available. It was sold only out of big box stores, and made Huffy's and Murray's look like quality.
Tread with care.

That is how I remember Iverson, too.

No pix. Just saw it at a thrift store. Dark & light brown, good metal & wheels, rotted tires, yes, 3 spd Sturmey. Cable chain broken right at rear. Shifter cable & 2 tires & it would be in pretty nice condition. I just don't remember an Iverson bike, other than the ones similar to Schwinn Sting-Rays. Thanks.

I've always wanted an Iverson for the novelty of it (just like how I want a Yugo). I suppose for ten dollars you could throw the frame away and keep the SA hub, and it'd still not be that bad of a deal. It might make a good garden bike.

Actually, I'd love to have one. Would clean it up, deck it out with Confente Masi decals, and take it with me to classic bicycle shows.

Well, if anyone REALLY wants it, just let me know. It is located in N. Central Florida. I may be able to get by there & take a pix next week, but I described it pretty well above. I am not a bike expert by any means, so I cannot tell much difference, looking, whether an old 3 spd is a good one or not. Let me know by e mail if you want it.
