i was just wondering how many teeth people use for their rear cog. What do the different number of teeth do?
I like 16 teeth myself, but this is a usless answer.
Assuming this is not a troll:
The size of the sprocket in the rear I use kind of depends on the chainring I am using. The smaller the sprocket, the harder it will be to pedal the bike but the faster it can go. A larger sprocket will make it easier to push the pedals, but you will need to spin at a higher cadence to reach a given speed.

See, this is why people should become well educated with the world of cycling, before entering the fixed gear continent. It is just a much smoother transaction.

As long as they understand why someone spends $4000 to build a bike that resembles $100 Hi-Ten supermarket BMX they are just fine
