Place to park in Staten Island?

I'll be riding the 5 boro tour in May and I'm thinking the plan would be to park on Staten Island Friday, ferry with the bikes to Manhattan Friday, tourist schtuff 'till Sunday, load the car ond head home Sunday after the ride.

So now all I need is a place to park for the weekend on Staten Island.

Suggestions, comments, and/or smart remarks?

Dave

Not sure about Staten Island, but if you want an alternate place to park on Manhattan, last year I parked on Riverside Drive around 122nd street, next to the Riverside Church. Lots of street parking because there are no apartment buildings near the church. Short drive from the GW Bridge. Got a good 10 mile warm-up ride in and still got to the start by 7:15 for a good position.
This year I plan to park in Fort Lee (avoid crossing the bridge) and do a 15 mile warm-up ,so my spot on Riverside will be free.

I'm guessing that you're looking for free or cheap parking from Friday to Sunday to avoid Manhattan garage fees and traffic.
Best would be a BF member from the north end of SI with good local knowledge, and/or a space in their driveway.
There seems to be a lot of street parking between the Verazanno Bridge and the ferries, but I think there are restriction, and I don't know how secure it would be.

added - There seems to be a private lot that allows overnight parking. Looks like it's almost on the BNY route.
