Mountain - Plains - Who rode in the rain today?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

OK, rub it in. When I went to bed last night I was intent on waking up and riding no matter the weather. But when I let the dog out at 5 a.m., it looked so miserably wet and cold I whimped out. Reading this forum, I know there are animals out there. Tell me, what do you do to overcome that sane voice in side of your head?

Well, I was all set to ride today, rain or shine, but everyone else called off, or didn't wanna start till pretty late, or whatever so no group ride. I COULD have ridden, but I have a century ride tomorrow and ended up just taking a well needed day off.
I can afford it, got 300 miles scheduled for next week. :)
Oh, and rain gear and fenders make weather like this nothing at all to worry about... even cheap gear... I've got a water resistant windbreaker and matching pair of pants. If it's looking really wet I wear those with my water proof boots (I have 'campus' style pedals, platforms on one side, SPD on the other)
Never really had a problem riding in weather like today. :)
Not me. I made others run in the rain. Does that count?

Tell me, what do you do....?
Sadly, just roll over and get some more sleep.

I rode in that rain. I stashed the recumbent, and got out my old beater mountain bike. After the 8 miles, I was damp everywhere. I had a lot of grit and gravel in my shoes and lower pants. My gears would no longer shift because of the slush.
