I just bought a new recumbent. The rear tire is 26x1.50 . I still have mountain bike tubes that say 26-1.75-2.125. Can I use these tubes in a tire that is sized 26x1.50? Also the side of the tire says high pressure. 100psi. Can mountain bike tubes be run at 100psi?

They'll work in a pinch (pun intended). If it was my bike, I'd get some smaller tubes. The problem is cramming all of that tube into the smaller tire without pinching part of the tube under the tire bead.

The maximum pressure is dependent on the tire, not the tube. You should be able to find the maximum pressure on the sidewall of the tire.

I much prefer a tube more properly sized. An overly large tube may get a fold in it when installed in a small tire. That's going to generate a weak area in the "fold line". You'll probably get away with it until you reuse the tube. Maybe a couple times??? It's probably more of a "piece of mind" issue.

I would use them. Install carefully. Inflate part way, deflate, then inflate to full pressure. This can help to eliminate folds in the tube. Carry a proper sized tube as backup.
