Introductions - What Up From North Chicago Burbs

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey all, Chiming in from far north Chicago burbs. 34 years old. Just finished rehabbing a replaced ACL reconstruction from a hoops injury. It sucked badly! Had my ACL replaced with a cadaver graft. That was fun  Had my surgery nine months ago and just getting back into the swing of things. Can't really run anymore, so getting back into biking after many years of not riding. Currently have a 15 year old mountain bike and I'm looking hard for a new bike. Can't decide between a hybrid or mountain bike (see my post in General Cycling Discussion). Looks like I found the right place for my many questions. Peace.

Hello Stingray99, lots of members from ORD, just check out the Great Lakes (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=233) regional forum. You've been off your feet for a while, haven't you?
I know you're young, but the folks in the 50+ forum may have some experience and words of wisdom about that ACL reconstruction, so don't be afraid to go over there. The Training & Nutrition forum, and the Triathlon forums can probably also give you some good advice if you still have questions...
Welcome to BF!
