I feel that it should; but I don't want to step on anyone's Sidi covered toes.

no hyphen needed. Octoberfest ain't hyphenated so why should Sausagefest need one?

I have one in my middle name, and it's a ***** filling out forms and stuff with punctuation. So I guess it's a vendetta.

Should be one long word, no hyphen. In fact, it's possible to elongate it: sausagefestival, though length is really not that important. Serious. No, really. <serious Vega look>

which just goes to show that people know it is sausagefest and hence those in the know do not search.

As I mentioned earlier/elsewhere (oh, it was here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=254487)

I heard a report on NPR a decade or so ago about how people with hyphenated last names are marrying other people with hyphenated last names, procreating, and then giving their children these huge unweildy multi-hyphenated last names that are wreaking havoc on computer systems when the kids register for school.

From that moment on I decided that if I ever had a kid, he was going to get a "Form Feed" character as his middle name.

My parents actually wanted to give me two middle names, but thought it would be more inconvenient for me to have to have two seperate middle names (as there's almost always only one box in forms) than to hyphenate it. But this was a little before everything was done electronically.

One of these days I'll just go to the courthouse and have it changed.

Reminds me of the comedian Russel Peters.

That was cool. he had a click in his name. I don't care what you say. My son is going to have a click in his name. This is 'Click Peter" spelled !Peter"
