Well I finally finished rebuilding the Fuji I bought a couple of months ago. I built so my son and I can ride on the same playing field. On my Tarmac if forget he can't ride as fast and I tend to speed up, now if I go to fast I just spin. Oh yeah if anyone has an old set of cranks that you like to get ride of PM me. Enjoy the pics

The are NOS Dia-Comp brakes I bought on Ebay for 25.00 on Ebay. They are the same as the original ones that came with the bike and I also used Tektro brake levers.

Thank you for asking Kristine is doing GREAT. She plans on going back to work next  She went to the doctor and he said she may should be able to ride by June. Kristine had been riding at least 3 days a week before she got hit so she could do the "Tour de Femmes"

But it's a single speed... so you need the obligatory chain line shot. :D

sweet

I'm using the same levers and the teckro long reach caliper, Works 100000000x better then the OEM brakes that came on this bike 26-27 yrs ago:eek:

I thought about using the Tekro brakes, but I was trying to keep as original as possible. I don't plan on going too fast on the bike since I am just going fast enough to keep with my 9 year old son.

The bike was power coated. I used a rattle can for the green on the seat tube and a inkjet printer on vinyl sticky paper to do the pin striping. The decals were done by a guy in Canada. I spent about $325 total on the bike. It was sooooo much fun building the bike.

John, when I saw the 'before' photo at top the first thing that came to mind was that frame would make a perfect fixed/ss. Then I scrolled down and saw what you did...:D
Nicely done!
