Ok, this question is a bit ridiculous, and embarrassing to ask but it's something I've just never done before.
I am trying to remove my rear brake, and for the life of me I don't see how the front lever comes off!
It is on a pair of drop bars and looks similar to the picture below. Please make fun of me, and then answer my question :D Thanks!
often it is inside behind the lever.

if it is like most of the old levers, you'll need a long wide flathead screwdriver.
squeeze the brake lever until you can see inside it, there is a big screw in there. stick your screwdriver in and unscrew.

what you want to do is loosen the cable, then squeeze the lever and if you look down into the little hole that opens up you will see a slot that fits a flathead screwdriver perfect. righty tighty lefty loosey
EDIT: dp beat me to it

No dice, thats what I tried originally. There looks like there may be a hex in there, if thats the case i dont have one thin enough...and it might NOT be a hex, I can't make out if it is just round or not.
you've removed the cable already right?

got it. there was a small set screw under the lever, unscrewed that popped off the lever, then the rest just followed. Thanks!
