I planned on riding lots of miles this holiday weekend. So far I've ridden none.

Sat. it was raining and to cool out. Yesterday when I started a ride 3 blocks from home I wrecked and had sore muscles which caused a major head ache. Today my back and shoulders are very sore.

Granted I ride a recumbent but with this kind of pain I know better then to ride. If I did I'd be more miserable afterwards.

In fact I think I'll go see my Chiropractor tomorrow. Thats how bad it is.

I'm not usually supertisious but did I mayube jinx myself with planning days ahead of time to ride so much and then end up not being able to?

Maybe when I plan to ride, I should plan it on the day off instead of ahead of time.

And no I did nothing to purpously or otherwise prevent myself from riding this weekend.

It was just a matter of one circumstance compounded another. With the exception of Sat. No one can do anything about the weather.

Your opinions?

Thanks.

Yeah, it seems that when I plan too far ahead something doesnt work out. I meant to do a long ride at my cousins house who lives in a different city over easter. Im thinking 'new scenery, great', spoke poked through the rim causing a flat. Today Im going for a long ride, planning it since fri/sat. I was thinking of going this morning but I didnt, so now I sit here and stare at the wind blowing thinking 'super, another wind ride'. Maybe it is better to just go out and ride without planning things. Who knows, hope you get on the bike soon.

I think I did the same thing to myself. I had been planning on doing about a 4 hour ride today. Saturday I rode some of the route I planned on doing today to check it out. Yesterday I took it easy so I would be rested for today. Just a 1/2 mile from getting home yesterday I broke 2 spokes on my rear wheel. Of course the lbs had already closed yesterday and wasn't open today so no ride.

Just my luck. Of course I guess I should look at it this way and be glad they broke close to home yesterday instead of 25 miles out today.
