I have a 6 speed shimano wheel on a Puch reynolds butted frame which i assume is a 126mm spacing frame--I am upgrading my frame to a 3rensho all butted frame, but is 130mm spacing---My bike expert here in Seattle who is well known says I can still use it on the 3rensho--he says its only 4mm differance---will it line up ok and shift normally---what do you guys think---I don't really want to buy new wheels because the 6 speed wheels are in geat shape maybe only 100 miles on them and they are from the early eighties

If the frame is steel, there should be no problem. I've put everything from 5 -> 9 in my 1981 Schwinn Super Sport (126mm spacing, originally with 5 speed freewheel)

Should work, but have the derailluer hangar checked for alignment with the 126mm wheel in position. And you might have to have it done again if you go indexed later.

As per my thread in the Mechanics forum, putting a 130mm hub on a 135mm (steel) frame is supposed to be A-OK, so i think you'll be fine too. The change in angle of the hanger will probably be negligible (something like a quarter of a degree).
