Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey all,
Just joined the forums to start learning what I need to get into cycling. I am mainly interested in road cycling so I can do some rides for charity and also just stay in shape. I currently am a college student in Texas, and I am about to get married so I am on a very tight budget, but look foward to getting into the sport as soon as possible! Well that is my short introduction if you have any questions feel free to ask

Kyle

kylen, welcome to BikeForums. I'm also a recently married Texas native myself, and in college to boot. Deals can be had on decent used bikes on ebay, craigslist, etc if you're hard up on cash. However, getting the right size bike is very important so don't do what I did and buy the first cheap thing that's within 20miles of you. :o Read and search for threads here that may answer questions you may have, or start a new thread about a specific question. Feel free to stop by the southwest regional forum where all the cool Texans hang out. :)

Hello Kyle, yes, there's some cool Texans out in the Southwest regional forum, but we'll be happy to see you anywhere here in the forums :D .

If you go the CL or eBay option, you'll find that there may be quite a few vintage/classic bikes out there. We're always happy to answer questions about classic & vintage bikes in the C & V forum, so as cuda says, don't be shy!

Welcome to BF!
