I understand after you've gotten your spring season admission letter to a college, you have to send your final HS transcript after you've graduated and all. This makes sense. Now, what if a college denied your admission? Would you still have to send a transcript?

Nope. Sending them the final transcript is just so they can make sure you didn't bomb out on your last semester and fail to meet one of their admission requirements. If you weren't accepted in the first place, it doesn't matter.

That's what I figured. Hmm, I am extremely reluctant to get my hopes up. As far as I am concerned, I am going to UNH.

I wish there was a day I could just sleep for the next 3 days. Hey mom, can you wake me up before the Quebec trip?

Yeah, that stuff can get pretty hectic, but it's survivable.
Good luck, dude.

Well, I want to keep my hopes down. Most of me says no it didn't work out this time, and next year I will apply again early decision. But there was an update on my online profile under "documents". This is where they list what is due or has been received. Is it an omen? If so, what does it mean?

Well yes and no.. if you are on the waiting list, you can send the college extra stuff, like reccomendations, your transcript if your grades are good and they don't have the most recent part, do an extra interview, etc.

Or if you re-test on your SAT/ACTs & get a better score.

I probably could have done that. I hate standardized tests, I was in a bad mood after the test both times I took it. Any school I apply to will probably be an SAT optional school though, so I am officially done with those things.

What schools are you looking at, btw?

Well, this year I only applied to two schools:
Hampshire College
and UNH
Hampshire is by far first choice, I applied to UNH because everybody in my town does and it's a place to start if all else fails. I don't think I will get into Hampshire, but I guess I will find out soon. Next year, I will look at liberal arts schools. I've got a cousin who goes to Bates College and enjoys it quite a bit. Places like that are of interest to me.
