Hey all,

Turning my crank backwards starts my wheel to rotating. The freehub mechanism is attached to a Bontrager hub (i'm not sure of it's exact pedigree-- it's laced to Bontrager Select hoops).

Anyone have any DIY tips for lubing the freehub mechanism?

Thanks for your help.

If you lay the wheel on your lap with the gear side up, you should see a small gap between the part of the freehub that rotates with the wheel and the part that doesn't. Drip a light oil on the gap and let it seep in. It'll take a while so be patient and spin the hub periodically to distribute the oil until it starts running smoothly again.
