In the 80s they were kinda fun.

I think they were a little before my time. I've tried listening to them, but they don't seem to grab me.
I'm a DM man.

I posted a video of Trans-Europa Express once. Is it me?
I have a lot of Kraftwerk. I even have Autobahn on 8-track.

Shouldn't this be in Foo?

No.
Well someone with a blue star felt this was totally inappropriate for the lofty forum of PnR. Forgive my ignorance, but what is Kraftwerk?
So Kris, I guess to answer your question. It ain't me.
Can someone please point me the direction to PnR?

At least it wasn't Foo. Thank you for killing my thread, to whom it may concern.

He's dead?
Let's start talking about Global Warming until they move this thread back.
Come on folks. Save me the hassle and inconvenience of googling Kraftwerk. Who or what is it?
Nevermind - couldn't stand it. No wonder they are not on my radar screen. Seems they are/were innovators of the industrial crap that was hip awhile back. Yes? If so, I will now go back to being happily ignorant of their existence.

Big Black is the shiznit. My mom was doing my laundry one day and threw away my Songs About F***ing t-shirt back when I was in high school. It made me quite upset. :( I showed her by dropping out of school, though. Take that, parents! ;)
It's me, me me! Kraftwerk, Kraftwerk II and Ralf and Florian rock!
:)
they are releasing a boxed set of all their LP's from Radio-activity on to Tour De France Soundtracks sometime this year.
and that means another US tour!!!
have you heard any of Karl Bartos' solo work? he has a couple songs on his *shudders*myspace that are pretty interesting and kraftwerk-like.

Ok, Klaus Nomi ?
Scariest femalien ever, Nina Hagen ??
Nina Hagen's been doing some recording recently on the Left Coast and has played a few club gigs in PDX. I caught one of her shows about a year ago. She still rocks! I still don't know anyone else who does punk rock versions of The Lord's Prayer, I'm sure it gets the xians undies a bit bunched up.
NinI], I'm sure it gets the xians undies a bit bunched up.
Sounds more like you wish that it did.

OK...cool, I just bought a new turntable last week anyways and am enkoying playing a lot of my old LP's on it. Honestly did not know LP's were still that popular let alone the availabilty of new stuff, that's why I asked.

I used to watch Nina Hagen and Laurie Anderson videos on Night Flight when I was a kid. Gave me nightmares, but I later realized how awesome it was.

Kraftwerk is way cool. Computerworld came out in the early 80's. When I was in school in Berkeley in 83, the brothers (actually young teenagers) from Oakland would come to the campus and play Computerworld on a boom box and brake dance to it.
It was sampled often by rappers and early hip-hoppers.
Electronica, trance all owe much to Kraftwerk.
