Hey all. I'm in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and I've been riding for five years or so, and getting more serious about it with each year. I was a serious runner for years before I began riding, though unlike many former runners I didn't switch to cycling to because of knee problems or anything like that...rather I married an avid cyclist and took it up at her urging. She probably thinks she created a monster by now.
Mostly road, though I have a hybrid I use on local packed gravel trails like the C&O Canal towpath. My current stable consists of a Specialized Sirrus Sport, a Klein Aura, and an Eddy Merckx Team SC. Yes, I do have something of a collector's mentality.
I'm also learning more about working on bikes. One of my goals is to ride the length of Skyline Drive in a day...maybe this summer.
Oh, and 54, so I guess I can post to the 50+ forum whenever I want.

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
