Bicycle Mechanics - Creaking and groaning

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My bicycle has just several hundred miles on the clock but the bottom bracket is now creaking and groaning whenever I put any sort of load on the pedals. As its a sealed unit - any tips to rid myself of this constant irritating noise.

If it's a new bike it should have a sealed cartridge bearing, which you don't service, you replace
Check to see if there's any wobble of the cranks back and forth (play in the bearing) also is there any grinding or un-smoothness when you turn the cranks?
The shop you bought it from should replace it if the bearing has failed after several hundred miles. They normally last a long time.

Take it back to the bike shop for warranty repair?
BTW, how do you know that it's the BB and not the crank arms, pedals, or even the saddle making the noise?
