Once I was doing something stupid while this window was open.
I pressed something with my foot :D. What is the key command to put the tab bar thingy back?

Double-click on the left or right edge/border of the window... :)

There's two options somewhere, that should be set. First, turn OFF the "single-click functions as double-click" feature, that's annoying as hell because you can't rename a file easily without launching it. The second option is somewhere that says "detect accidental double-clicks" or some such, turn that ON.
