Prolly riding it with the gf and friend. Not sure if I want to do the 30m with WRL being packed when I ride it almost daily anyways.

It's such a small amount of miles, and likely to be crowded. Meh.

Going to skip this one. It's on my birthday, but I think I'm going to do a ride with PBA instead that morning.

I'm in. The 30 mile route last year did 2 loops around White Rock the proved to be a little confusing with a rest stop right in the area of the transition for the second loop or cut off for 20 miler. Still this ride is one of my yearly favorites.

MAN! That was COLD!!! It really did snow...but it really wasn't THAT cold, just extra dramatic with the snow (What's this on my arm?). Don't know the headcount. But it was fun.

Very cold- I'd like to find out what happened to that guy that an ambulance took away. He fell down maybe 10 minutes after the start. He was lying face down, not moving at all when I saw him. The terrain was not bad at all. All I could figure is that he might have overlapped his front wheel with someone who moved over, causing a fall.

Hobart...he was two bikes ahead of me, and I didn't see it happen. I had glanced off or something, but I immediately stopped. He went down on his face, and one foot was tangled in the bike and he was twisted at a bad angle. I was the guy who pulled out a map to give the caller the street name (I'm not from Dallas). When I first got there he wasn't moving, then two riders came back and one was a doctor. He was moaning some and was semi-concisous when I went on, but he was hurt bad.

I may be wrong, but I don't think he hit anyone. I think he possibly just lost control (hands slipped, missed a pedal stroke, possible physical stroke/heart ) or else he got a tire caught between the concrete slabs that make up the bridge. There were a couple of places on the bridge that could take out a bike.

I hope he comes around okay. Life can change in an instant.

When I passed him there were a few people around him, one appeared to know what he
was doing so I continued on (I was maybe 200 riders back from the front?).
The rest of the ride was pretty much uneventful except for the snow. I was singing
"let it snow. . . " but I don't think the folks around me appreciated my voice.
For all the negatives I heard about last years ride, route etc. this was not too bad.
Be nice if they added a longer route and there was more exposure. Not one mention
in the paper this morning or on the news last night. . .

Was I the only one who screamed his lungs out in the tunnel? I approached it, silence...in it, screaming (even told kids around me that you're SUPPOSED to scream in a tunnel)...past the tunnel, silence again...disappointing::cry:.

I was too busy trying to see what kind of crap was in the road to scream. I did sing though!
