I think the people who replied were simply confused by the poor writing of the article. The fact that the person was on his bike is very minor, yet it makes the lead story.
Reminds me of a first grader I had a few years back who insisted his dad was in prison because was riding his bike without a light. The mom later told me, yes he was stopped for riding his bike without a light, but then the cops found other stuff.

That's impressive that an ex-con druggie could ride a bike from Fairfield to Napa (check a map).
I wonder if he took the lane?
There are only two ways to get from Fairfield to Napa. One is to go up Wooden Valley Road to hwy 128 and then to Napa.
The other is to go over Highway 12.
The first route has some genuine hills and would be very difficult for someone with a drug habit. The second route you would really need to be on drugs in order to be stupid enough to take it.

Who needs educating and why? Seems pretty simple. Guy with drugs runs stop sign. Cops bust him. End of story.

So one person wrote an insensitive comment and misspelled pedal.

That or he actually means peddle the drugs, not pedal a bike. Maybe he has issues with people selling drugs outside of BL's. Perhaps HH could chime in on this issue. He is our resident VC vs. BL expert after all.

I was thinking that could be a possibility too. It isn't really clear if he meant drug dealers are idiots or cyclists or cycling drug dealers.
