I just built up a new mtn. bike after a very long hiatus (sp?).
I had the LBS cut and bleed my 2007 Juicy carbons which only after some hesitation since I have always liked to work on my bike and often don't trust others to do the job as well as I would.
As soon as I'm walking out the door of the shop, I grab the R lever and it is not smooth but instead compresses way too far and makes almost a squishing or popping sound. I take it back in and then apply the brakes multiple times which starts to cause drips of fluid to come out of BOTH levers/reservoirs! They said they guy who cut and bled them wasn't there but they would look at them tomorrow. Great, now what are they going to do?! I mean both levers, come on...

make sure they're using the avid specific bleed kit. I know some old school mechanics who refused, and tried to bleed them like hayes, and the results are horrific if not dangerous.
