Just curious if anyone else is on Spring break next week. I plan on doing some moderate rides early in the week since the wife will be working. Later in the week, my cousin is visiting and we're taking him and his other half to Disneyland, but if anyone is up for a 20-30 miler with not too much climbing, let me know.

Yes. Probably no rides for me though.
Maybe, but I'll be laid off instead of on Spring Break...
hopefully, with severance.

I'm off for a few days next week, but that's because I have to finish a bathroom remodel at home before Easter...

We're actually shooting for the night before (late) or early that morning! :)
We start our Break Good Friday running through the following week. We leave for Palm Springs that Sunday.

It's Spring Break every week.
huh..... what's spring break????
For that matter what's up with these other holidays like President's Day, Martin Luther King BD, etc. I get none of those off. I get 5 paid Holidays a year and only if they fall on a weekday! It sucks to be old and working!

I like school so much I became a teacher. I'll be teaching Summer school to make more money, but there are pluses and minuses to this job. Spring, Summer, and Winter vacations are definitely pluses!
I guess I mean old and working in the private sector.
Being a teacher is hard but you do get all that time off... =sigh= if only!
Maybe in the evening but I know you'll be riding during the day. Let me knwo if you want to ride past 5pm.
Spring break???
What's that, I work for a living....

I get Easter Sunday off...then again I get every sunday off. Actually I work on a college campus and aside from us maintenance/groundskeeper type people the campus will be empty. Even my bosses are going to be gone most of the week so I'm on my own...which actually isn't all that different than a regular week.

Not this coming week, but the one after. That is, last day of classes is Friday 4/6. Private schools have a slightly different calendar, I guess.
Spring break is the week after Easter for me...

It all depends. Las Virgenes and Ventura has the same break as you. Last year I didn't get a spring break since our school was year-round and I was teaching all tracks!

Well, now that I'm married, my Spring break will actually consist mostly of honey-dos, as well as practicing to perform in Easter mass and arranging music for my school band. I just like that I can schedule that around my rides, rather than the other way around.
Oh, and it's funny that LAUSD students were protesting that they wanted Cesar Chavez Day off as well. They don't realize every new day we get off means another day the school calendar gets extended.
