I am looking at a SIGMA BC 1606L DTS. I check their site and I'm still confused. I can see the speedo is wireless, but is the cadence wireless too?

I'm annoyed with their site. They need to do a better job explaining their seemingly fine products....

Why would they have you run a wire to the pedals but not down the fork?

The Sigma BC 1606L DTS comes in two versions. One with the cadence sensor and one with the cadence sensor as an option. Same computer just one comes with the cadence sensor and one does not. I have the one with cadence and it is wireless. I have had it about a month and it has worked flawlessly. I really like it especially the back light. I ride a lot at night and it is nice to be able to see the computer when I need to. You can even run the speed sensor on the seat stay so you can use it on a trainer and it will work just fine.

I've used my Sigma BC 1606L DTS Wireless for about 3 months. No problems running the speed sensor on the seat stay, so it works with the trainer as Ray mentioned. I also like the larger display.

With almost all trainers, your front wheel does not move so you have no clue if your riding like a grandma or hauling it like Lance if you sensor is on your fork and the magnet is on your front wheel.

If it is on your back wheel along with the magnet, though, you can know you speed, etc. when on a trainer. The seat stays are the pair of tubes, of the rear bike triangle, that point up from the middle of the rear wheel to your seat post clamp.

Plus I think he is saying that the wireless functions fine and the two signals from the Cadence and Speed sensors don't interfere with one another.
