Well, I did it, 30 rides in 66 days has produced 1,015 miles.
This ride that put me ovet the 1000 mark was a race home to beat the rain storm that was getting ready to over take me.
Now, I can say that Imy Michlien axial pro's are looking very for the millage. Now, my next goal is to tell you that I am still riding these tires after 2000 miles. The goal is to mention that within 35 days.
Ride on my friends
:D :D :D :D :D
Dmac,
Congrats!
Keep it up and let us know how you're progressing.
Outstanding! That is quite a benchmark, and you did it averaging 33 miles per ride! Good deal! At that rate, you'll be over 3k by the time the snow flies! Keep up the fine work!

Impressive. I just hit 1000 miles on my mountain bike and found
also that a road bike lets you go faster/farther so I'd been doing
12-15 miles before work just about every day.
Sadly, last night my rear wheel went way out of true so I'm kind
of sunk until I can get that repaired. I did 9 miles this morning
on the MTB and it's not quite a substitute for the speed of the
roadie although they both have their advantages.
One question: I'm a married guy with a day job and how are you
guys finding time for all of this?
I'm getting up at 5:30 a.m. and riding before work - but after
work my wife likes to take walks and such so the evenings are
not always good for it.
Ideas?
Gosh, this is a no-brainer....a bike for her birthday??!!?? :) I get up at 6:00, and head for work as soon as it is light enough. I take a long detour in the morning, but then in the evening, I use a shorter (but not direct!) route home. If my wife would ride with me, I would probably take the direct route if timing became an issue. Doesn't take long to pile up the miles when you put on 30+ a day for 4 or 5 days and then get in a ride somewhere on the weekends! Important thing, get out and ride! Don't worry about what others are doing, just do the best you can, and share it with all the rest of us!

I would like to say that I am working and have a girlfriend or even a wife.
But my story is that I broke up with my girlfriend in Feb. Since then, I have lost 19lbs, biked a ton, I have taken vacation since July 3rd(I'm a software contractor) and I am in training for the NYC Marathhon.
All I do for now is play......Ahhhhhhhhh.
Take it while ya ca...That is this summer's plan.,......
