I have a Trek 2200 Aluminum bike, came with a carbon fork quill stem and Ikon bars. I'm thinking of changing out the front end with a new beefier carbon fork, good headset and stem. Would probably do the bars as well. My original ~8 year old carbon fork is pencil thin compared to the new forks on the market and on the new bikes. When I'm in the areo position flying down hill at 40+ MPH I'm starting to think about how safe it is.

So I'm looking for suggestions for replacements. I want good quality components but don't want to spend an arm and a leg on my old bike.

Thanks in advance,
jw
