Joe and I discussed a blogger's forum, as there are many benefits for the forums and individuals that can be gained by something as simple as a link. But I'll get to that in a later post.

People start blogs for a variety of reasons. Mine is just a way to share some of my thoughts, as well as info that I get from various sources in the cycling industry. I try to make it entertaining, interesting, and informative. And feedback is always valued.

So I'd like to welcome readers and writers to the Blogger's Forum. Show us what you've got!

Brian

For anyone that ventured to have a look yesterday, I am still trying to get an interview with Bob Stapleton. And Chris King still owes me one.

Well, because of you guys and Tom, I have now stepped up to the plate a bit closer. The first ever images have now been uploaded to my blog. I keep saying "Baby Steps Mike". But i have been at this blog thing far too long to still be crawling. Anyway, stop by and check it out. April 4 is/was the big date.

And thanks for the forum. It has helped me immensely.

Welcome to the entrance to the blogosphere's firey core. It's a little like Social Networking, with (usually) less drama and ignorance.

I don't think I am at the core. But it is starting to warm up. Thanks.

You're at the entrance to the core. As are most of us.

Through link sharing, commenting on other blogs, and getting some exposure in some other ways (including offline) I've amassed a bit of a good readership, and I'm starting to get more interaction with readers who comment.

Brian is onto something good. His blog is also in the pupal stage, but it's on course to get very popular and well-known. Most of us aren't positioning our blogs to be a respected source of information. Brian gets mad props from me. He's landed some really exclusive information and he's gotten interviews with big names in the industry. He's already proven his potential with his unique and yet serious writing style, his reporting and interview abilities, and his network of contacts. I'm eager to see where it goes.

You should see my contacts list. :) It's hard work to get info out of some people though. Chris King has sent apologies, maybe I could publish them instead of an interview?

Oh, thank you for the compliments.

Feedback is requested. I'd like to know what kind of content readers prefer. I can contact nearly anyone in the industry, given enough lead time.

As a follow up to my rant about SPAM, I think this map shows where it's coming from. Can you tell?

Hmmm. Based on my traffic, not many people care. You'd think... oh, never mind.

It's about time! Finally got my Chris King interview. It was with Chris DiStefano, not Chris King, but he had all the answers I was looking for.

This evening I actually took the time to sit down and compose a decent blog entry. I need to do this more often.

And I've got another good interview lined up. :D

Well, having this Bloggers' forum is a brilliant idea. Now we are able to know who among us here blogs and rides. At least we are getting know the interests of people here. :)
