I rode a 600k brevet this weekend. Started at 6:00 am Saturday and finished at 09:00 pm Sunday.
It was quite a tiring, lumpy route, a few monster hills.
This was the last qualifying ride of the 200, 300, 400, 600 series. Luckily, I'd booked a place with Graham Baxter Sports Tours ages ago, coz I believe they're getting full up. Tho I don't see why they can't just keep adding coaches as people apply.
PBP is open to 4000 riders this year instead of the usual 3500.
I plan to enter for the 90 hour event, this being my first attempt at 1200k I'd rather aim to finish than worry about fast times.
It'd be great if any other BikeForum members are going. We could have a few beers.
