Ahhh... a pretty good week. First spring ride (road), maybe a second on Saturday and two range times for qual; 9mm and M-16.

Now if I could only work in some flying!

Now if you could fly a cycling powered aeroplane with a mounted gun or 2.

I don't pedal fast enough to get myself airborne, let alone an armed plane! :D

Don't feed the trolls? Me? Wow... first time I've been called a troll!

I don't know if I should be amused or insulted! :D

Falkon -

I got a couple of very short MTB rides last week, with the trailer in tow. Pretty cool and I think she likes it. At least so far.

Been meaning to go out to the range do do some clay pigeon shooting. People get all high-falutin' when I uncase my VangComp Remington 870 Police Magnum and use that in a "sporting" environment.

What's even more fun is to shoot Sporting Clays with a 20" double and Black Powder loads.... makes the folks with the $4,000.00 Perrazzis cry. :D

Ahhh, crap. That's what I get for not paying attention.

Funny how a lot of us cyclists are also into guns. I mean, we should be like hippie peace-loving folk and all. I'm into bikes and peace and all ... and GUNS.

Not so much that I'm into guns as much as I'm in the military and needed to do a fam/qual event to get my people ready in case they're tapped to go play in the sandbox. They'll get all the official training if they go, but having some basic time with a real weapon and live ammo ahead of time lets them focus on USING the weapons vs "shooting" them. Big difference.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shooting but I've already got enough hobbies and activities to try and take up that as another one.

Our CO spent 6ish months as a sandbox sailor in Iraq, and he's an ED.

Don't feed the trolls...

I didn't mean to be insulting to anyone, but this subject is getting old. This is the fourth thread in Bikeforums about this subject on four different subforums. It seems that the guns people are mentioning are more an extention of their anatomy than anything else.

So someone qualifying with issued firearms as part of his job has a case of penis envy? Thats a pretty far out concept if you ask me.

I agree. In the shotgun sports that have been mentioned, it is important to swing the gun as if it were a part of your anatomy.

Well, insulted it is.

You should take your small minded, holier than thou attitude and go elsewhere. I'm embarrassed that you live in the state I come from. Guns, hunting and sportsmanship are part of the Maine way of life, as is (or was, at least) strong patriotism. Sadly, it seems you are nothing more than a mindless member of the herd that seems to have taken over up there.

Just what is it your attitude is compensating for?

This thread was plainly labeled as a bikes and guns thread. Those who are offended by the subject and easily enough pass over it without looking at it, let alone spout their opinion of it.

You mean a gun isn't an extension of your hand and eyes? Wow! Who'da thunk?;)

Hoooo Boooy!!

Yep. Skiahh is insulted. I have never EVER seen him THIS upset. And man, I should know. I try to upset him as much as I can.

But for some reason it never works. :p

Well. One time. :( And I was wrong. And I apologized profusely. That wasn't even the time I was TRYING to get him mad. *sigh*
