Hey, just got my Rat Fink. Absolutely amazing bicycle! Rode it more than 40 km second day. Excellent drunken cruiser ride. I would highly recommend to purchase this bike for the quality of finish, paint/flames, and the RIDE!
The only drawback is that the bars are a little high. I would take those bars down about an inch if it were me. Other than that, fill your bag full of brews, tuck a little mother nature behind your ear and just cruise baby!

Nice...
I love the Rat Fink !!
Im getting a contact just reading your description of
rolling out on it :p
How is it on hills ?
The bars are easy to fix if you need to....
I think Electra even makes some slightly lower ones, too.

Is this the green one? A friend of mine up the road has the same one with green tireflys and a trailer with a little sound system, it's pretty cool.
Never mind, my bud has the fink and his lady has got the pink fink. He also has the Rock-a-billy-boogie with a side car for his bull-dog. Pretty swank.

I have really strong legs, so getting up moderately steep hills is no prob. However I was walking it up a couple really steep ones. Overall though the riding position is wonderful, you can really clip along with the crowd on a flat stretch. There is a group of us here we can sometimes get more than 20. Watching a pile of choppers/cruisers flying down the street is awe-inspiring. I obviously have a headlight/taillight combo but one question I ask is do you guys ride helmet or helmet-less? I have a pretty slick bucket that I sometimes wear(at night) just more for safety.
Pics on the way;)

Never wear a helmet on my alt bikes, or even at time on my BMX.
Roadie and MTB is almost always.

I alternate....
On my morning commute, where I live, I am the only person on the road.
Im rolling along at 5-15mph at the most and I am in a totally non-threatening environment where only an angry Rooster might cause me danger. But, if Im dicing it up with angry cars in the 'city' here or on my fast bike I will. Im not worried about rider error, Im worried about angry / inattentive motorist assault. If you ride in a hostile environment, I definately would wear one. I think you should do what you think you need to do and not worry about what other people think. Also....'alt' shouldnt stop at the bike ! You can do some really cool stuff to a helmet to have it be a statement 'o kool, too ! :D

I concur, the bars on the Rat Fink are a bit high. I bought the Ghostrider merely because the bars are lower. The frame length appears to be identical, though the headtube may be slightly longer on my frame.
