I need help naming my bike please!
She was born in Chattanooga, TN. She is dressed mostly in fine Italian wears, with a few French accents :)
I really need a name for her (strange how we name things we love like cars, etc), it just doesn't seem right seeing her everyday and saying "hello bike"!
Ok, I'm going crazy I think.

Don't be in too much of a hurry. Just ride it for a while and it will eventually name itself.

I think you should name it Lateesha.

With that mix of nationalities it should be Cosmo - short for cosmopolitan.

How about "The Italian Stallion."

Yeah, there's a bit of an American and French mix in there, but Rocky was American. Just get rid of the French rims and you should be good to go on that name.

How about Boadicea. Pronounced Bow-dish-e-ah (I think).

Boadicea was the queen of the Britons born about 30 A.D. She married into Iceni royalty of SE britian around 48 A.D.

The Romans had murdered her husband and Boadicea became so distraught and outraged that she led a revolt of 100,000 women warriors against the Roman uprising. The Romans were awed and outraged by the fierce and bloodthirsty Celtic women warriors and especially by Boadicea who led the charge with a sword and axe in each hand.

Legend suggests that Boadicea destroyed the Roman colony of Colchester, and sacked settlements at London and St. Albans.

When the Romans finally captured Boadicea she poisoned herself rather than surrender to the conquerors.

"She was very tall. Her eyes seemed to stab you. Her voice was harsh and loud. Her thick, reddish-brown hair hung down below her waist. She always wore a great golden torc around her neck and a flowing tartan cloak fastened with a brooch."
-- Cassius Dio, quoted by Terry Deary in The Rotten Romans.

Well, it's titanium, so you could name it for one of the titans. Just not Hyperion, I've already taken that one. ;)

IMO, you can't just name a bike. It's something that will come to you after you've ridden it enough to know it's personality. It'll probably hit you on a long, hot ride when you're semi-delirious with dehydration, exertion, and exhaustion, accented with an endorphen buzz. Then, your muse will speak!

How about "Rockingham" after OJ's old house?

I named mine Apollo after the Roman sungod. Seeing as how he brought a new day and a new light to the Romans each and every day, my bike is aptly named Apollo because it brought a new day, a new era to my biking career by moving from an mtb to a road bike.

If you look at Roman mythology, you're bound to find a good name there!

Thanks for all the great suggestions!
"Bellona" is her name (hope it sticks as we bond). Bellona was the Roman goddess of war.

She's a southern gal, how about Tammy? If that doesn't help you can at least make the middle name Lee or Leigh, depending on gender. Every other person in the south has that middle name. Including me!
