I was hoping to beg some help. I have a vintage custom built Columbia Twosome and have been trying to determine its value. It is a Dr. Pepper model and I can’t seem to find any info on that anywhere. If anyone would kindly help point me in the right direction. I would greatly appreciate it! Please email me if you need pics. I think the serial is 60 43 0210.

Thanks!

Here is a link to the pics. I appreciate any help. My father and I bought this for my mother years ago at a flea market. Mom gave it to me when he passed and I just want to know more about it and determine if I can fix her up!

You can fix her up, no doubt about that. But I can't help you with any info. Never seen one of these. I think I would contact the original bottler of DP and see if they were interested.

I'd need better pics. Where'd you get the camera, a gumball machine? :)

Not much to fix up, it looks like its aready rideable. Air up the tires and give it a shot.

It looks to me like someone added their own Dr. Pepper stickers to the bike.
I recently passed on a Dr. Pepper MTN bike that was fully done in Dr. Pepper colors and bubbles.
It was a low end bike, but the Dr. Pepper scheme was pretty cool. The bike was in medium shape and they wanted $225 for it (at a garage sale!) So I passed. Maybe that was a mistake?!? :p

I think we have a Pepsi model Columbia at the local co-op.....maybe this was a soda promo drive in the late-70s or early 80s? A contest? It's pretty low end. All blue, with red and white trim...the logo and soda name are more prominently featured than 'Columbia.'

I agree with the suggestion that someone just added their own stickers to the fork crowns. There's not nearly enough brand identification on that bike to be a Dr. Pepper model. I'd guess the model name is 'Twosome.'

Either way, I'd give it a good cleaning and some fresh grease and enjoy it.

Ok, I updated the pics. They are still a bit hard to see. They just don't do it justice. Guess it must be my gumball camera! :)
I just don't think the Dr.Pepper was added later. The bike it the right color. I dunno. Do all Columbia's say custom built around their logo?
Thanks again!
