Advocacy & Safety - I need your help with a presentation.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
On Monday I am giving a presentation on Complete Streets to the Public Works Dept. in South Sioux City, Ne. But I only have 10 min. to do it. The presentation is part hand out & part Power Point presenatation. It is the Power Point presentation I need help with. The slide show is about 54 to 55 slides long. It can be found at this web site: www.completestreets.org. Scroll down to the bottom & click on the link in the bottom right hand corner to access it.
Please help me by suggesting what slides I can maybe do away with to shorten the presentation with my 10 min. time limit. Please give the number of the slide so I can remove it from the presentation or skip over it.
Thank you.

I like that presentation (especially the slide with Oregon on it). It shows a compelling argument. If you need to cut it down, I would probably do what my boss does. He just keeps all the slide in there, but glosses over several of the "example" slides, the ones without unique points. He shows them all, but the glossed over ones are shown only briefly, for a couple of seconds. Because most of the slides are pictorial, this works well.
I'd go through and pick out a few main points what I absolutely needed to make. Flip through the rest of the slides, but hover over the main point slides.
1 slide per minute. No more than that. And a picture says 1000 words.

Agreed. Pick out the 8-10 slides that have the most impact...the ones showing the users most effectively. Close with the stats, then a final image of a family (Complete with small children) using the facilities (Take advantage of the "Do it for the children" heartwringer.);)
