Bicycle Mechanics - Hollowtech 2 LX cranks do not spin as easily when on stand and hit with hand

i just put on some hollowtech 2 lx cranks, everything fits and is lubed up and tight.
there is no serious resistance to them spinning but when on the stand and spun with your hand, the momentum is not enough to have them spin around a couple times before coming to a stop like old hollowtech cranks.
is this normal?

Yup, it's normal.
New bearings are going to be a bit stiffer than bearings that have been well broken in.
Also, the external bearing BBs seals are much bigger, probably have four times the contact area, so there will be more initial resistance there.

maybe you should hit them with a hammer instead of a hand ;)
